WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO WASH AND CARE FOR MY COTTON GARMENTS?Updated a month ago

Fabric Care & Laundry Instructions

Wash cotton garments in cold water on a gentle/delicate cycle with a small load. Use a non-bleach, color-safe product in small amounts to treat any stains. In the event your garment has retained any scent from the dying process, you may also add distilled white vinegar to neutralize the smell during the wash cycle. If this is not effective, please contact Customer Care for further information.

Modern detergents and machines are now designed to be effective with cold water. Cold water uses less energy (eco-friendly) and reduces the chances of colors running. Bleeding of darker darker dyes (black, navy, deep red, deep purple, and dark green) is uncommon, but if this occurs, please contact Customer Care.

To minimize wrinkles, you may also wash in warm water (not hot) in a small load on the gentle cycle. Remove from the wash as soon as it’s done, and gently re-shape inside-out before hang-drying or tumble dry on the lowest drier setting. Alternatively, all our cotton garments can be dry cleaned.

 * Alpaca material is spot clean or dry clean only.

We do believe our cotton or linen garments look their best when ironed (especially the scalloping), but we understand many don’t enjoy ironing the same way we do. If ironing is not possible, we recommend getting a handheld steamer to remove wrinkles. Steaming takes just seconds, and every item in your wardrobe will benefit from its use. Our French Terry products have 15% polyester so with them being a little stretchy they will maintain the scalloping better.
