WHAT FABRICS ARE USED TO MAKE YOUR GARMENTS?Updated 3 months ago
That’s a wonderful question, and one I truly love to answer! At Heidi Carey, price isn’t about the number on a tag, it’s about what the piece brings to your life: comfort, beauty, and confidence you can enjoy every day. To me, fabric isn’t just material, it’s the foundation of comfort, confidence, and value. I invest in textiles that feel luxurious and grow softer and more personal with every wear and wash. After testing more than 107 different cotton samples, I chose only the finest long-staple cotton, grown in India, where cotton cultivation is an art passed down for thousands of years.
Why cotton? Because it’s naturally soft, breathable, and hypoallergenic, making it the perfect choice for garments you wear closest to your skin. Unlike synthetic fabrics that can trap heat, our cotton allows your skin to breathe, helping you feel cool and comfortable through the night.
My goal is to create garments that feel luxurious, wear beautifully, and reflect a commitment to luxury quality from seed to stitch.
I DESIGN WITH FABRIC WEIGHT AND PURPOSE IN MIND
1. Robes and Pajamas are made from a slightly heavier, tightly woven cotton. Durable enough for lounging, yet soft enough to feel like a daily luxury.
2. Nightgowns and Nightshirts feature lighter, airier cotton that drapes beautifully and keeps you cool for restful sleep.
3. Specialty pieces like our French Terry Robe blend cotton with a touch of stretch for a plush, cozy feel while maintaining elegance.
